About the show

Living Catalogue is visual installation and live performance that asks how much dance can be contained in a gallery setting.

Laura Peterson will present her work at a pop-up gallery space. The works on view include Failure (2017), Paper Room (in development for 2020) and SOLO (2016). Dances run throughout the day. Visual art pieces are also on view.

These recent performances include Laura’s use of large pieces of paper as a medium to express her interest in the intersection of the materiality of the body and the physical world. Laura’s tactile environments are dynamic and, like the dancers, are in constant flux. These three pieces track Laura’s recent works with paper, showing the unfolding of large-scale origami, moving paintings, or demolition of sculptural pieces.

Performed by Darrin Wright, Sara Procopio, Jennifer Sydor, and Laura Peterson
